GoIP 8 vs GoIP 32: Which Device Fits You?
The main difference between GoIP models is how many SIM cards they hold. At SUVO each card you keep available earns a fixed daily rate, so the right device depends on how many cards you can keep reliably online, what it costs upfront, and the rate tier of your market.
In this guide
How earnings relate to the device
SUVO pays a fixed daily rate for each SIM card that stays available (≥95% uptime/day). Approved channels receive inbound calls and SMS, and your pay doesn’t depend on traffic volume. So the question isn’t “how much traffic can this box handle?” but “how many cards can I keep reliably available, and what is the rate for my country?”
The estimate is simple: available cards × daily rate × 30 ≈ monthly estimate, before days that do not meet the availability threshold. Rates currently range from roughly $0.45–0.90 per card per day, depending on country and demand. A day below the 95% availability threshold receives no provider payout. These figures are estimates, not guaranteed.
GoIP models at a glance
DBL’s GoIP series comes in several channel counts, with one SIM card per channel on standard models. This guide covers GoIP 4, GoIP 8, GoIP 16 and GoIP 32. Before buying any device, including other models or 4G variants, check device compatibility with SUVO support.
| Model | SIM ports | 30 days at $0.45 | 30 days at $0.90 | Typical fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GoIP 4 | 4 | $54 | $108 | Trying the model with a handful of cards at home or in a small office |
| GoIP 8 | 8 | $108 | $216 | A first serious setup: one location, cards you manage yourself |
| GoIP 16 | 16 | $216 | $432 | Growing partners with a reliable site and more cards to manage |
| GoIP 32 | 32 | $432 | $864 | Experienced partners with a dedicated, well-connected location |
Hardware cost depends on the seller, revision, shipping and taxes; request a current quotation before buying. Monthly figures assume all ports hold cards that are available every day (cards × rate × 30); they are estimates, not guaranteed, and days below the 95% availability threshold receive no provider payout.
Example: 8 cards at $0.45/day equal about $108 for a 30-day month before days that do not meet the availability threshold.
8, 16 and 32 cards across rate tiers
Which markets suit a device depends mostly on the rate tier: the same number of available cards is estimated at twice as much in a $0.90 market as in a $0.45 market. The tiers below are the ones used by the earnings calculator on the SUVO homepage.
| Rate per card / day (countries) | 8 cards / 30 days | 16 cards / 30 days | 32 cards / 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.90 (China, Hong Kong, USA) | $216 | $432 | $864 |
| $0.75 (UAE, UK, Germany) | $180 | $360 | $720 |
| $0.60 (Turkey, Poland) | $144 | $288 | $576 |
| $0.52 (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Kazakhstan) | $124.80 | $249.60 | $499.20 |
| $0.45 (Portugal, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Nigeria) | $108 | $216 | $432 |
Assumes every card is available every day of a 30-day month. A day below the 95% availability threshold receives no provider payout. Rates depend on country and demand and can change; these figures are estimates, not guaranteed.
A GoIP 32 has four times the capacity of a GoIP 8, and so four times the potential, but also four times the cards to keep powered, registered and active. The estimate only holds if you can actually keep all 32 cards available.
Practical factors
Power
Use the manufacturer-approved adapter with the ratings specified for your exact hardware revision. A small UPS covering the gateway and your router keeps cards online through short power cuts, which directly protects availability.
Cooling and space
Give the unit free airflow; don’t stack it on other warm equipment or shut it in a closed cabinet. A GoIP 8 fits on a shelf next to your router. Plan a dedicated spot for a GoIP 32 with room for its antennas and easy access to the SIM slots.
Antennas and signal
Every channel needs good mobile reception. The web admin shows signal strength (RSSI, 0–31) per channel, so check it after installation. More channels in one place means more modules relying on the same local coverage; if signal is marginal, a 32-port unit multiplies the problem. Also check which network technology your model uses: classic GoIP 8 units are 2G, and some operators have switched 2G off. 4G variants exist but cost more, so make sure the model you buy works on your operator’s network.
Internet connection
Required upload and download capacity depends on the codec and number of simultaneous calls. Ask support to confirm the requirements for your configuration. A wired connection is strongly preferred over WiFi for stable channel availability.
Managing many SIM cards
Each card has its own plan to keep active: expiry dates, renewals, PINs, balance. With 8 cards that’s easy to track by hand; with 32 you’ll want a simple spreadsheet with slot number, number, operator and renewal date. Use SIM cards in line with your operator’s terms. Requirements vary by country and carrier. Use only authorized infrastructure and consult qualified local advice where needed.
Single point of failure
If one GoIP 32 goes down, all 32 cards go offline at once. Some partners prefer to grow with several smaller units so a single fault only affects part of their cards; others prefer one box to manage. Both work. Choose what you can keep available.
Which one fits you?
- Choose a GoIP 8 if you’re new to SUVO or to GoIP, have a limited number of cards, and want a setup you can run from home or an office with an ordinary connection.
- Choose a GoIP 32 if you already run gateways, have a dedicated location with stable power, cooling, strong signal and a solid connection, and have a routine for keeping many plans active.
- GoIP 4 or GoIP 16 are sensible in-between steps: a GoIP 4 to try the model, a GoIP 16 when a GoIP 8 is full but 32 cards are more than you can manage well.
